  Publicly Funded Health Facility of Stavropol Territory "City Clinical Hospital No. 3" of Stavropol city.   The hospital is a multidisciplinary treatment-and-prophylactic institution providing day-and-night planned and emergency qualified medical care to the population of Stavropol city and the region. Medical care in the Hospital is provided in the following departments: Surgical, Otorhinolaryngological, Neurological, Neurological for the treatment of patients with acute cerebral circulation disorders, Cardiological of acute coronary syndrome, Cardiological No. 1 , Medical Rehabilitation, Intensive care and reanimation, Endocrinological, Geriatric. There are also paraclinical departments: Functional diagnostics, Ultrasound and Radiology diagnostics, Clinical and biochemical laboratory, Physiotherapy department.

In the mid-seventies, the City Hospital No. 3 initiated the development of a specialized cardiological service in Stavropol, which was associated with a significant increase of the number of patients with coronary pathology, including those of working age. Cardiovascular diseases from a purely clinical problem by the middle of the twentieth century have grown into a socio-economic problem, which required reforming of the entire assistance to the specified contingent system, starting with the continuity of the ambulance, hospital, clinic and rehabilitation structures.

 Considering the widespread incidence of viral hepatitis, the laboratory is conducting a blood test for the marker spectrum of viral hepatitis. For this purpose, a set of equipment for enzyme immunoassay was purchased. The coagulological indicators study is particularly relevant with the appointment of anticoagulants for patients of cardiac and neurological profiles. For fast and high-quality performance of these studies, an automatic coagulometer was purchased. The study of procalcitonin was introduced, which allows to diagnose sepsis in the early stages. Multiphase computer tomograph Aquilion 16 (Toshiba Medical Systems) was put into operation in February 2009, on the basis of the PSO Department: primary vascular Department for the treatment of patients with acute cerebrovascular disease.

  For today, the X-ray computed tomography method is the most informative and allows you to diagnose acute cerebrovascular accident in the first hours of the disease start. This makes possible to quickly and effectively resolve questions about the further tactics of treatment of this category of patients (in particular, about the thrombolysis conduct). The computed tomography method allows to determine the nature, localization and magnitude of cerebral infarction, and also under contrast conditions allows you to identify the cause of the stroke development: the presence of congenital or acquired pathology of brain vessels.
